Biography
Ali Motahari, born on December 29, 1964, in Tehran, Iran, is an Iranian conservative politician who has served as a member of parliament. Known for his outspoken and sometimes critical views of the government, Motahari has been a controversial figure in Iranian politics. He is the son of Morteza Motahari, a prominent cleric assassinated in 1979. Ali Motahari has been critical of both reformists and hardliners and has advocated for social freedoms within the framework of the Islamic Republic.
